About This Quiz

Harry Potter was an amazing world created by the talented JK Rowling. She wrote not only about the Boy Who Lived and He Who Must Not Be Named, but she also told us about creatures that made the story all the better. Were you paying enough attention that you can now recognize them from a picture? Try your luck with this quiz!

Rowling told us of the good creatures, such as owls, the messengers of the wizarding world, hippogriffs, proud but loyal winged beasts, and phoenixes, magical birds that could heal almost anything with their tears. But she also told us of the dark ones, which include creatures like the dementors, who could steal your soul with a kiss, acromantulas, who have a liking for human flesh, and werewolves, people-turned-monsters who didn't know the difference between friend and foe when the full moon was out. There were also creatures that blurred the lines of good and evil- like the threstral, creatures that are seen as bad omens but are actually quite gentle, the mandrake, its cry could kill you, but its potion could heal you, and ghosts, who could be vengeful or very friendly.

All of these creatures and more are in our quiz. Care to see if you can correctly identify them?
