About This Quiz

As franchises evolve and eras come and go with different players and owners, NFL teams sometimes need a change to reinvigorate the franchise and the fanbase. Many teams will choose to fire personnel or, in extreme cases, will uproot an entire team and move it to a new city for a fresh start, leaving their old support base behind.

However, bridges are not always burned in the NFL, and some teams choose to make simple changes to the logo to let their fans know that a new era has begun.

Of course, that does not mean every team follows this train of thought, as some teams have elected to stay with the same logo for years because it is a representation of the early years of a franchise and the glorious moments from the past. They know their community identifies with their logo, so they might make slight adjustments instead of full-scale changes.

How well do you know the current and out of date logos of the NFL? If we give you an image, can you tell us if the logo is new or old? Here's your chance to find out. If you're ready for the ultimate NFL logo challenge, get started with this quiz and see if you can decipher the past from the present!
